Properties in Chennai

Chennai is India's oldest surviving modern city, built along a flat coastal plain where the Bay of Bengal sets both the weather and the shape of the map. It is a manufacturing centre as much as a services one, with automotive plants to the south and west alongside the IT belt. The city speaks Tamil first and wears its history openly.

Because the coast blocks expansion east, growth has run south and west instead. The OMR corridor carried the IT industry down towards Siruseri, the GST Road belt followed the airport, and the western suburbs grew around Porur and Poonamallee. Metro Phase 2 is the current change: Corridor 3 from Madhavaram to SIPCOT runs the length of the OMR employment belt and opens in stages from 2026.

What we list mirrors that. Sholinganallur, Navalur and Kelambakkam hold the largest share, with Pallavaram and the GST Road belt behind them. Apartments lead, but plotted layouts have a real presence here in a way they do not in every metro. Asking prices run from about ₹8 lakh to ₹7.8 crore with the middle near ₹68 lakh, so flats in Chennai cover a wider affordability range than Bangalore or Hyderabad. Casagrand lists more projects here than any other developer.
