Puravankara Limited was started by Ravi Puravankara in 1975 and incorporated in its present form in 1986. The company is based in Bengaluru and has been listed on the BSE and NSE since 2007.

It develops across Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mangalore, Mumbai and Pune, with work in Dubai, Colombo and Saudi Arabia. The group holds ISO 9001 certification for quality management.

Several brands belong to the parent. Puravankara covers luxury homes, Provident Housing the mid-income segment and Purva Land plotted developments, with Purva Streaks for interiors and Starworth Infrastructure for construction. Projects branded Purva, including the Purva Land plots, are developed by this company.
