About Banashankari

Banashankari is a large south Bangalore suburb named after its temple, laid out in numbered stages from the 1960s onwards. It is fully established, with its own commercial centres, the Green Line metro and a settled residential character.

Because it is built out, new supply is scarce and skews upmarket — redevelopment and premium infill rather than volume housing. That is why the entry price here sits far above the southern average despite the area itself being an old middle-class suburb.

Our listings are apartments with one villa project, and three- and four-bedroom homes make up nearly all of the mix. Flats in Banashankari run from about ₹1.56 crore to ₹3.26 crore with the middle near ₹2.85 crore, and nothing we list here is cheap. Sobha Limited is the most active developer, with Tata Housing also present.
