Properties in Mandya

Mandya is a sugarcane-growing district on the old Bangalore to Mysore highway, watered by the Cauvery. Srirangapatna, Tipu Sultan's island fort capital, sits at its northern end. The district is agricultural rather than urban.

Its land market is shaped almost entirely by that highway. Plotted developments line Old MC Road and the Maddur and Srirangapatna stretches. They are bought largely by Bangalore buyers looking for land at prices the city no longer offers, rather than by local demand.

Coverage is limited to a small number of projects. Plots in Mandya are priced well below anything comparable inside Bangalore, which is most of the appeal.
